Perform day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), expense reports, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing by reconciling accounts and preparing supporting schedules.
Generate and maintain financial reports to support internal management and external reporting requirements.
Process vendor invoices and payments in accordance with company policies and deadlines.
Issue customer invoices, monitor collections, and follow up on outstanding balances.
Assist in preparing federal, state, and local tax filings and maintain accurate documentation for compliance.
Support external audits by providing requested schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.
Maintain organized accounting records and ensure proper internal controls are followed.
Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2–4 years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and U.S. GAAP.
Hands-on experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, and invoice processing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with month-end and year-end closing in a corporate environment.
Knowledge of corporate tax filing support and preparation of supporting schedules.
Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle.
Prior experience supporting external audits or implementing internal controls.
Associate or additional certification in accounting (e.g., CPA candidate or bookkeeping certification) is a plus.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
