Senior Accountant (Full-Time, In-Office)

Location: Garden Grove, CA

Salary: $71,000 – $80,000 (DOE)

About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join a long-established and growing company specializing in advanced training and tracking systems for dogs. This position reports directly to the CFO and will handle all core accounting functions, monthly close, reporting, and process improvements.

The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes ownership of financial accuracy and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Manage general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
Lead monthly close and prepare internal financial statements and reports.
Review key balance sheet reconciliations (bank, AR/AP, inventory, prepaid, etc.).
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Work with external CPA firm on year-end close and tax filings.
Ensure GAAP compliance and maintain internal controls.
Collaborate with Operations and Customer Service teams on reconciliations and collections.
Improve accounting systems, processes, and automation efforts.
Support ad hoc financial and system projects as needed.

Qualifications

Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
Advanced Microsoft Excel and ERP system proficiency
Excellent communication, accuracy, and organizational skills

Preferred:
Experience preparing full financial statements and management reports
Familiarity with ERP systems (D365, SAP, etc.), EDI, or Shopify B2B/B2C
Bilingual in Korean (preferred, not required)

Position Overview
We are seeking a Junior Accountant to support daily accounting operations and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Key Responsibilities
Assist with Accounts Receivable: prepare monthly customer reports, process ACH payments, and follow up on past-due accounts
Perform Accounts Payable tasks: verify invoices, gather approvals, and ensure timely payments
Update financial records using accounting software
Gather and input payroll-related expenses
Provide general accounting and administrative support
Assist in preparing reports for management, including analytical summaries
Perform data entry and maintain organized filing systems
Conduct research and gather background data for projects
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial documents
Provide administrative support to the CEO and other leaders as needed

Qualifications
Minimum 3+ years of experience in accounting or related field
Strong skills in Microsoft Office, accounting software, and databases
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
Bilingual Korean/English preferred
Reliable transportation (onsite role)
Self-motivated and energetic work ethic
